The programme returns to Manchester on Saturday 28 September 2019 after the well-received inaugral conference held in 2017.

This year sees support from a stellar line up of inspiring and engaging speakers as well as from NHS England Primary Care, Health Education England, British Medical Journal, Royal College of Surgeons, Royal College of Radiologists, NHS England Clinical Entrepreneur Fellows, National Medical Director Clinical Fellows and Industry organisations. 

Our aim has always remained the same; to showcase the diversity of roles available to healthcare professionals and support healthcare professionals to develop and lead fulfilling careers. This conference hub is not only for university students, trainees, GPs, Consultants and Dentists, it is open to all healthcare professionals. 

Speakers include:

> Shafi Ahmed

Professor Shafi Ahmed is a multi award winning surgeon, teacher, futurist, innovator and entrepreneur. He is a member of the NHS Assembly, 3x TEDx and an international keynote speaker and is faculty at Singularity University.

>  Kate Burnett 

Head of School of Physician Associates, Health Education England North West. Consultant Urologist. Honorary Deputy Director Masters in Medical Education, University of Manchester and Council Member, Academy of Medical Educators.

> Raj Patel

Deputy National Director of Primary Care, NHS England. Raj lead on the GP Forward View and The NHS Long Term Plan. He previously headed up the Lancashire and Greater Manchester area as Medical Director, covering a population of 4.2 million and overseeing 3,500 doctors as Responsible Officer.

> Liz Mear

Dr Liz Mear is Chief Executive of the Innovation Agency, the Academic Health Science Network for the North West Coast. Liz was Chief Executive of the Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust and has been a Director in an acute NHS Trust, a mental health NHS foundation trust and an ambulance trust.  She has also worked in local government and as a senior management consultant.

Henrietta is the Head of Blended Learning and Digital Literacy at Health Education England. She was previously the Topol Technology Review Project Lead and was a Nursing Clinical Fellow at NHS England.  She is a Registered Mental Health Nurse, a Darzi Fellow Alumni and a 2nd year NHS Clinical Entrepreneur.

Dedicated SJT session for final year medical students

> Royal College of Radiologists 

The session is intended to provide an insight into training in radiology, and life post training. Consultants, Dr Malcolm Johnston (Interventional Radiology) and Dr Hannah Stockley, (Interventional Neuroradiology) will talk about what life is like working in their respective fields. This session is most suited to medical students and foundation doctors who are keen to enter specialty training in radiology. However, if you are interested in radiology, you are also welcome.
